Item notes: An April Fool's Day spoof (in English language) celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Palestine Broadcasting Service. The extant recordings include segment takes which would not all have been transmitted. Content as described by the recording transfer engineer: 'Two takes of the opening; a spoof appreciation of Caliph Omar (intercut with traditional music); a feature on the Battle of Hittin (aka Battle of Hattin) with two takes of the tag at the end of that scene; a scene about Amalfi(?); 'Jerusalem Calling' - a spoof news bulletin about the invasion of Palestine by Egyptian forces read by 'Flora Cameron'; and a piece about General Allenby.' Remainder of programme is missing.
